Re-enactment of a peasant wedding, Karyes village

Held on the first weekend of August each year, this three-day event is run by young volunteers and attracts interest from locals and visitors alike.The re-enactment revives customs and preparations concerning the bride's dowry, her house, her clothing and everything needed for the wedding ceremony and the feast afterwards.
